First Post! ^o^b REVIEW for Bubble & Bee's Jasmint 'Pit Putty

No beating around the bush! I don't even have any followers yet (OTL.. I'll work on that next), but I'm kicking this blog off with a review of one of my favorite new natural products - Bubble and Bee's Jasmint 'Pit Putty!

P.S. I'm seriously a complete blogger noob... If anyone reads this, I'd love to get some feedback! :'D

*will post an actual picture once I can get my camera fixed...

Product Name: Jasmint 'Pit Putty
Brand: Bubble & Bee Organic

Size: 2.5 oz

Ingredients: Organic arrowroot powder, organic coconut oil, aluminum-free baking soda, organic jasmine extract, organic peppermint essential oil.

Used For: 3 weeks
EWG Skin Deep Rating: (1)

Likes: Peppermint oil gives it a cool-tingly sensation, smells amazing, and (most importantly) banishes BO!
Dislikes: Tends to crumble during application. Also not very sweat resistant.

First off, this smells SO GOOD. The peppermint scent is most prominent to me, but there's definitely a hint of jasmine in there too. I've never been much of a fan of minty smells and tastes (or jasmine, for that matter), so I was originally going to get the Geranium Lime. However, I'm a sucker for "LIMITED EDITION" things, LOL. And now I'm so glad that I went with the Jasmint after all, because the scent alone has me sold.

Now, as for how well it performs as a deodorant? Not bad, not bad at all. I have to apply twice a day on average - once at night and once in the morning. Somehow it seems to just evaporate on me at night while I'm asleep, because by the time I wake up it's almost always all gone (rubbed into my clothes..?). But I still smell clean, so that's fine! It also holds up pretty well most days while I'm at school. However, on longer days, the Jasmint smell tends to wear off towards the end (after about 6-8 hours). I don't smell like BO, but the Jasmint scent gets a little.. sour? Not terrible, but no longer yummy. Also, keep in mind that I live in an oven Texas, and I think I tend to sweat a bit more than the average gal... So if you live further north and you're not all that sweaty anyways, this may just be perfect for you!

Speaking of which, it does not seem to hold up very well against sweat at all... I realize that it's not an antiperspirant, so I didn't expect it to stop me from sweating, but I WAS hoping it'd help keep me dry, just a bit.. But unfortunately, no. And if I apply too much (easy to do when it smells so good), it balls up and I get a bunch of little white chunks of "putty" under my arms when I sweat. Not sexy. But thanks to the peppermint oil, at least I don't FEEL like I'm sweating up a storm.

Overall though, I was pleasantly surprised with how well this worked. However, my expectations weren't all that high considering this is my first foray into the world of natural deodorants, haha. I will probably try some others deodorants, from Bubble & Bee (they just came out with 'Pit Putty CREAMS!) and other brands, before deciding if I will return to this. But ahh, how I will miss this scent... Do love.
